BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS
As part of a comprehensive plan for accomplishing not only career related goals but also personal
and educational goals, the Young Adult Career Center accounts for the possibility of barriers to
arise. Through our supportive services, we can help you to overcome these barriers. To learn
more about the details of our supportive services, attend a Young Adult Info Session held every

WHAT IS LABOR MARKET RESEARCH?
Labor market research is an essential part of career development planning. It provides insights
into your own interests and skills while comparing them and supporting them with information
about industries including needed education or training, salary expectations, growth opportunity,
field growth/outlook, and more. This helps you make an informed decision about your career
choices.
With your Career Advisor you will complete career assessments and conduct research using
various resources like O*NET, MassCIS, Career One Stop, and more to reinforce your career
action plan.
